Before Hip Hop Café™  became what it is today, the journey started with a simple but powerful concept dreamed up by Chef Sean and his grandfather, the late Vernon Mitchell.  Create a space where fresh ingredients, bold flavor, and community meet. City Island Juice Bar was built on that foundation that not only tasted good, but made people feel good.

As the vision expanded, so did the mission.

We realized this was about more than just a juice bar. It was about culture. It was about energy. It was about creating an experience that reflects the rhythm, creativity, and authenticity of the communities we come from. And that’s how Hip Hop Café was born.
